We were up pretty early again today and Laurie arrived quite early as well. There they were the two of them, Garry and Laurie, playing with the Retrovan, testing everything including the TV. Unfortunately neither of them were successful in tuning it in so Garry said he would work on it later, it was the least of our problems. We debated whether to move into a caravan park for the night but Doreen still had work to do on the internet so we decided to stay. It would give us more time to sort out the Retrovan anyway.

Garry and Laurie took the top box off our trailer and moved it to the Retrovan having to move the handles to make it fit. Once that was done it was a perfect fit. With everything done Laurie had to get on his way so we had to quickly empty the other trailer as Laurie was taking it back to his place and shipping it home for us from there. The motel room was a real mess for a while and the owner commented that he would be interested to see how we would fit everything into the Retrovan. We took a few photos before Laurie left and then he was on his way. Doreen continued working on the journal occasionally visiting Garry outside to see what he was up to. Garry organised most of the stuff and then Doreen put the small amount of food we have been carrying with us into the kitchen section of the van. Garry managed to fit all his clothes into the cupboards at one end of the van leaving the other end for Doreen. We dont carry too many clothes now, just enough for a week as we dont have room. It wasnt as organised as we would have liked but like most things it will take us a few times to get it the way we want it. When we had the support campervan we moved everything about 20 times before we were happy with it.

When he was satisfied with what he had achieved Garry went across the road to the laundromat to do the washing. Doreen heard him ride up and down the street a few times though before he stopped while he tried out how well the trike would tow the Retrovan. It was almost dinner time when he returned and with the restaurant closed Garry went across the road to buy fish and chips again. After we had eaten Doreen finalised updating the web site and emails and then we both retired for the night.
