We decided not to visit Ipswich today as the council had not responded to us and none of the schools in Ipswich responded either. The unfortunately fact was that we would probably ride all the way out there and not be able to park to do any fundraising anyway. Garry decided to do some other jobs that needed to be organised including taking the trike over to Leon to see if any adjustments can be made to improve our fuel consumption. We are only managing 200 kilometres per 38 litre tank at the moment and with fuel prices its costing us a fortune. Garry also wanted to take our new annexe back over to Copeland Pickers to have another window put in on the window side of the Retrovan. The annexe is great and they made it for us at a really good price and did a fantastic job but with no window on one side it was a bit stuffy. The news on the trike was encouraging but means that we have to take it to be dyna tuned as if Leon makes it too lean then it will overheat and we dont want that problem recurring. By dyna tuning it they can be sure of getting it right. So Garry made an appointment for tomorrow night to have it done. The annexe wasnt a problem so Garry left it with Copeland Pickers to have the work done. Doreen always has plenty of work to do so she continued with updating the web site and then spent some time with mother and father. Sarah and Erika came over for tea and it was wonderful to see them. Doreen particularly enjoys the time she has with the children and grandchildren. They couldnt stay to late though as Erika is now at prep-school and really needs her sleep to keep going. There were plenty of other visitors as well so plenty of conversation went on and it was a good family night. We enjoyed a few hours of watching TV with a clear picture for a change and then retired for the night. |
